The Latest Interview with Charlie Sheen on the “Today” show with Matt Lauer
Charlie Sheen never ceases to amaze us with his aloof and cavalier attitude when it comes to his addiction. This morning was no exception when he was interviewed by Matt Lauer on the “Today” show. 
After Sheen hit the bottle and cameras while stumbling out of a Guns N’ Roses concert recently, the media had a field day with his behavior after it was captured on TMZ.
This morning on the “Today” show Sheen gave Lauer a hard time with serious questions the reporter asked regarding his issues with addiction.
“You’re someone who’s been to rehab in the past, you’ve admitted issues with drugs. I don’t know one addiction specialist who would tell a guy in your position it’s okay to drink,” said Lauer.
Sheen passed his drinking off as a comedic topic. His response to Lauer was, “Well if you do I should probably go to that guy.”
According to his ex Denise Richards, Charlie Sheen can sometimes “turn off” his drinking. Anyone with knowledge of addiction and especially knowledge of Sheen’s very recent past, may think it’s ludicrous that the man still sees it as perfectly okay for him to drink.
Sheen has always made it very clear that in his mind Alcoholics Anonymous is a cult. “I don’t believe that whole piece of fiction that they insist you have an allegiance to.”
Clearly he doesn’t have an allegiance to AA, but hopefully for Sheen he will have an allegiance to something besides Jack Daniels.
Khloe Kardashian cuts ties to PETA
Just one of the many beautiful brunette beauties that make up the Kardashian empire is sticking up for her big sis after Kim Kardashian was flour-bombed last Thursday night on the red carpet.
Khloe Kardashian, who once bared all for the PETA organization in their “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur”campaign, was once one of PETA’S biggest supporters.
Baby sis Khloe, is now disgusted with PETA for bullying Kim. Monday Khloe posted on her blog, “I just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA. They have proved that they support this kind of behavior.”
Adamantly vocalizing anti-bullying, the young beauty was furious with the way that PETA handled the situation, feeling that they bullied her sister. “As you all know, I don’t condone violence and bullying and what happened last Thursday was just that,” said Khloe.
Although the youngest of the Kardashian girls will not be supporting PETA any longer, she will continue to remain fur-less.
Battle Rounds on “The Voice” Get Scary
Cee Lo usually has one thing on his mind and it apparently wasn’t vocals last week on “The Voice.” Was the rendition of Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got to Do With It?” battle round between two of Cee Lo’s “greatest” a joke?
Cee Lo paired The Shields Brothers against Erin Martin. Martin squeaked and squealed through the song while the The Shields Brothers made the viewers feel as if they were watching ice skaters fall.
The lesser of the two evils, The Shields Brothers, just weren’t sexy enough for Cee Lo. Erin Martin and her tight Lycra lingerie sealed the deal with Cee Lo as she won the battle.
Pregnant Snooki on “The Jersey Shore”
Snooki aka Nicole Polizzi will still be a cast member of the next season of “The Jersey Shore” regardless of the fact that she is pregnant.
At the ripe age of 24, the self-proclaimed Guidette won’t be staying in the shore house or going to the clubs. “I don’t want to be one of those moms who’s pregnant in a club. It’s disgusting,” said Snooki.
Which begs the question, “What will pregnant Snooki be doing?” It’s hard to take your eyes away from the train wreck that is “The Jersey Shore.” Without lewd, crude, and often times nude behavior from Snooki this season, how much longer will the show last?
Ellen Literally Scares The Pants Off Julia Roberts
Julia Roberts was all smiles on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday. The pair had a wonderful time joking and laughing. “We’re off the rails. I felt it from the moment I walked in,” said Roberts laughing hysterically. 
Ellen enjoyed scaring the beautiful brunette to the point of bladder control loss. She waited for Roberts by her private bathroom backstage and jumped out to surprise her at a very dire time for Roberts.
“It didn’t even come across how scared I was,” laughed Julia. She boldly said, “You can tell because I peed in my pants.”
The pretty woman was already on her way to the bathroom and had to change her pants as a result of the joke.
Ellen joked with Roberts, “How often do you get to have that feeling anymore as an adult?”
Roberts told Ellen she plays with her kids in much the same way. “I realize how my kids feel. Little people can just catch air,” said Roberts. “They just vault,” she said in tears giggling.
Ellen was curious as to whether Roberts was thinking of retaliation. “Do you think you’ll get me back?” said Ellen.
Roberts, winded from laughing could barely sit in her interview chair. “Oh yes,” said Julia as the crowd roared with laughter. “Who needs coffee at the Ellen show,” said Roberts. “I am wide awake.”
When Ellen asked about various animals that Roberts had on her families ranch, Roberts found an instant opportunity for retaliation.
Ellen made the mistake of telling Roberts, “I would love a kitten.” Roberts knew exactly what button to press with Ellen at that point.
“She would love a kitten,” exclaimed Roberts urging all viewers to send their kittens to The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “No, no do not get me one. I do not want a kitten,” said Ellen.
“No I don’t want a kitten my cats would be mad,” said Ellen. “Oh I can’t wait,” joked Roberts after she made hand gestures as if she were petting a small animal and pointed at Ellen.
If Ellen is suddenly infiltrated with dozens of kittens pleading for viewers to adopt them, somewhere in this world it seems Roberts will be laughing hysterically.
Ellen’s Staff Challenges her “Dance Dare” on Kristin Chenoweth
Today on the Ellen DeGeneres show, the very tiny and talented Kristin Chenoweth appeared in all smiles and a bright pink dress to promote her new television series GCB on ABC.
Ellen’s staff performed what Ellen calls “dance dares” on Chenoweth. “I thought something weird was going on behind me, but I thought they were making fun of me,” said Chenoweth while wiping tears from her eyes from laughing after viewing the footage.
How Ellen could possibly have kept a straight face for the sweet young woman was impressive to Chenoweth. The dance dares were hilarious and Ellen couldn’t have picked a better sport than the little blonde spitfire.
“Oh you’re good,” said Chenoweth to Ellen grinning from ear-to-ear.
“No they were good. I was just keeping you in position,” said Ellen.
Brad Pitt and Ellen DeGeneres discuss “Make It Right” in New Orleans
Brad Pitt invited Ellen DeGeneres to her hometown of New Orleans for a first-hand look at the rebuilding of the 9th Ward after it was wiped away by Hurricane Katrina.
The organization “Make It Right” was founded by Pitt, one of Ellen’s good friends. He seemed to consider her “one of the guy’s” as he greeted her with a hug and a very friendly, “Hey man.”
Pitt, dressed in all-black attire, sporting long hair, and a definite 5′oclock shadow that has gone on for too many days, may have wanted to check his ego at the door before the cameras rolled one of Ellen’s questions that day.
When Ellen praised the work he’s been doing there he humbly replied, “I’m getting far too much credit for this. I get far too much credit for bringing some really smart people together.”
“That’s humble for you to say but without your name and visibility this wouldn’t have happened,” said Ellen. “Okay fair enough,” was his reply. Leading one to wonder why he didn’t just let that one go, along with his ego.
Regardless of Pitt’s ego, there is amazing work being done. According to Pitt, he fell in love with New Orleans in the early 90′s. “It was a bit of a blur which New Orleans will do to you. I fell in love with the place, the people, the music. It’s in the air, it’s something you can’t describe on camera,” said Pitt. That could be true, or maybe as he said, the blur of alcohol erased some of his memories in order for him to describe his love of the city.
Pitt said that the name of the organization came from a man he had interviewed who thought he had done everything right. He saved his money, built a home, and raised his kids. The man had insured everything. However the insurance wasn’t enough to replace everything that he had. “He said I did everything right. I did everything right,” said Pitt.
The houses are now built, according to Pitt, sturdy enough in the event that if anything like Katrina were to hit the area again they would be insured. “You could throw a two-by-four into it at a hundred miles an hour and it won’t penetrate these homes,” said Pitt.
Lady Gaga Interview with Oprah Winfrey
After watching Oprah’s interview last night with Lady Gaga I was amazed how humble the young 25-year-old woman is.
After earning a sum of 90 million dollars between the years 2010 and 2011, Lady Gaga still lives with her parents Cynthia and Joe Germanotta, who have been married for 30 years.
Oprah was invited to interview Lady Gaga and her mother Cynthia at their Upper West Side New York City apartment. The same apartment where Lady Gaga grew up since the age of six, along with her younger sister Natalie. “I actually don’t own a house. I’m a wandering gypsy,” said Gaga.
Oprah interviewed Gaga’s mother at the same table that her daughter’s did their homework on as children. It had to be humbling for Oprah when Cynthia broke out grandma’s china tea set that even Gaga had never seen. It’s refreshing to see a celebrity of Lady Gaga’s caliber conduct herself with such a relatable and humble grace.
Oprah couldn’t help but bring up the fact that Gaga makes respecting and loving your parents cool. Gaga almost found that to be surprising and replied, “Thank you!”
The beautiful baby grand piano which Gaga wrote the song, “The Edge of Glory” on was adorned with pictures of family members. As Gaga shown her grandfather’s picture to Oprah, she described that during the night of her grandfather’s passing, her father and she wrote the song together while drinking shots of Tequila. The self-proclaimed “daddy’s girl” wrote the song in an astonishing ten minutes.
The lyrics were inspirational according to this musical prodigy. “It’s the edge of the most glorious moment in life. When he’s won,” said Gaga speaking of her grandfather’s passing.
It surprised Oprah that Gaga didn’t have pictures of herself covering the walls of her parent’s apartment. To my surprise, for every award or Grammy that Gaga wins, her sister Natalie has a piece of art work she’s done displayed as well. Her sister is a very talented art student in her own right and there doesn’t appear to be favoritism in the household.
Gaga’s awards are held in a cabinet in her parent’s house, made by her father and her grandfather. The entire scene couldn’t have been any more relatable to us as the viewers, but we weren’t watching just any girl. This is Lady Gaga.
Prior to sitting with Gaga and mother Cynthia in their quaint New York City apartment, Oprah met up with them at a very grand beginning for all three of the ladies.
It started in Camridge Massachusettes at Harvard University where Gaga’s mother Cynthia and she were launching their Born This Way Foundation Event.
The goal of the foundation is to empower young people. The idea for the foundation originated from the song “Born this Way.” The song encourages youth empowerment.
Oprah spoke with Gaga backstage at Harvard University. They spoke of the Born This Way Foundation and how it was her and her mother Cynthia’s “passion project.”
As a child, Gaga herself was bullied but confessed to Oprah that it was not even close to what is transpiring in the school systems today. “There is a misconception that we can pass a law,” said Gaga speaking of how we treat one another as human beings.
Oprah immediately had one of her aha! moments stated, “Because you can’t. You can’t legislate humanity.”
Lady Gaga and mother Cynthia also have created what is called The Born Brave Bus which will be following Gaga’s tours. The bus was designed to help teenagers across America. It’s a safe place on wheels where teens are able to discuss how to prevent bullying and how to be more of themselves.
“Generally I wasn’t a popular kid,” said Gaga. She started getting bullied in middle school. She remembered a particular incident that occurred at the all girl’s exclusive private school that she attended known as Convent of the Sacred Heart. (Alumni include Gloria Vanderbelt, Carolyn Kennedy, and Paris Hilton.)
“I got thrown in the trash can by some boys who went to a school nearby who were hanging out with the popular girls,” said Gaga. “As I was walking down the street to go to the bus they picked me up and just threw me in the trash.”
Gaga went on to say how the girls laughed at her and how she was in tears. Oprah wisely replied, “The worst thing you can ever do for a person is to humiliate them.”
The young pop star admits this horrible event still haunts her to this day. The wonderful and kind way in which Lady Gaga is contributing to youth awareness and the fact that she makes it clear through her music and activism that it is absolutely not only right to be who you are but necessary.
This woman has already made young people stronger. They feel that they can come out openly with their sexuality because of her, be comfortable with their bodies, and the color of their skin.
We as humans were all born as we are. We were born this way. We can be thankful for this young intelligent woman who “gets it” as Oprah says. Lady Gaga is changing the world just by being the person that she herself was born to be.
Dr. Drew Pinsky on “The View”-Celebs and Prescription Drugs
Today on “The View” the ladies interviewed Dr. Drew Pinsky. Famous for shows like VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab” and the host of his own show “Dr. Drew” on HLN, the Doctor wanted to make sure he set the record straight with the ladies and the public regarding the fatal demon celebs are ingesting.
He is adamant that the main problem celebrities have today is prescription drugs. “When my addict patients die they die a prescription death,” said Dr. Drew. “Drug users from the 60′s and the 70′s they’re still with us. They’re all still with us except for the ones that graduated to pills they’re dead.”
The Doctor made it clear that he felt guilty for not “speaking up” sooner, especially after the death of Heath Ledger. He went on to say that some doctors are only interested in treating celebrities and how dangerous this has become with the deaths of Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston as of late.
“Doctor’s get turned on taking care of famous people,” he said. He went on to explain that the standard of care is the best. Doctor’s only wanting to work with famous celebs may give what Dr. Drew calls “special care.” He said, “Special care is more likely to be sub-standard care.” Dr. Drew is appalled that doctors tell celebs that they are their friends. “We’re friendly with you but we’re your doctor,” he said.
The women confronted Dr. Drew on the Whitney Houston scandal once again. “When somebody with the history of chronic addiction who has failed treatment multiple times dies young it’s because of their addiction that’s just statistically the way it goes,” said Dr. Drew.
Whoopi Goldberg, who wasn’t on the show today, was angry with Dr. Drew stating that Houston had been drinking the day before her death at an earlier date. “I had many people report to me there was no doubt she was drinking the day before,” said Dr. Drew. “For somebody who has failed treatment multiple times to be drinking that is them holding a loaded pistol and waving it around.”
According to Dr. Drew, prescription medication is not to be taken lightly in any form. Even sleeping pills can be harmful if taken for longer than a few days. Luckily for him, and possibly for viewers who need to know this information, Whoopi Goldberg wasn’t on the show today. Prescription drugs aren’t only the main cause of death for celebs, but also for the general public.
